The Board of Zoning Appeals makes quasi-judicial decisions on requests for variances and conditional uses. The board meets on a monthly basis to review and decide submitted applications. The Board of Zoning Appeals may approve, approve with conditions, deny, continue or table applications as necessary.
This is a paid board of five members and two alternate members appointed by the Township Trustees. Members of the board must reside in the township and are allowed to serve two full five-year terms. In the event a member gains the position of a predecessor who was unable to complete their term, the new member is able to serve the remainder of the unexpired term, in addition to their two allotted 5-year terms.
